What is BAS Kansas City?
The Airfield
BAS Kansas City is no ordinary workplace - it’s 180 acres of aviation action. Located at Harry S Truman Regional Airport, our massive airfield features four hangars packed wall-to-wall with aircraft parts - from small general aviation planes to large turbine-powered business jets and even small commercial aircraft. With 100,000 square feet under roof and planes as far as the eye can see, this is where aviation comes to life.
The Story
Formerly White Industries, a respected aircraft salvage operation with over 50 years of history, the Kansas City location was acquired by BAS in March 2023 along with its aircraft, parts inventory, and four amazing employees. Since then, we’ve been steadily transforming the facility into a high-powered extension of our game-changing Colorado operation, where we redefined the aircraft salvage industry 13 years ago.
Three of the original four team members remain valued contributors to our growing KC crew (one has since retired), and we’ve been expanding ever since - bringing in new talent to help list and manage a massive inventory through our award-winning e-commerce platform.
Now, we’re hiring again - and it’s a great time to come aboard. Since the acquisition and rebranding, BAS Kansas City has been booming: shipping aircraft parts across the globe, and even landing whole planes in film and TV productions like Landman on Paramount+. We’ve breathed new life into a legacy operation, and the momentum is only picking up.
If you’re ready to bring your skills to a thriving, forward-thinking team in a company that values innovation, growth, and people - BAS Kansas City is ready for you.
