Full-Time Reseacher - Greeley, CO
We are one of the leading aircraft salvage companies in the world, based in Greeley, CO. Our aviation parts research team takes parts from a wide range of sources, including the airplanes that we disassemble, and runs them through a process that allows us to sell them through our industry-leading e-commerce store to customers around the world.
A Researcher’s job is to take each part and identify the details so it can be documented, photographed, tagged, and made available for sale. Sometimes, this process is easy. The details come with the part. Sometimes, it requires the ability to carefully look at a diagram and identify the correct part, assign the proper part number, and then complete the rest of the process.
The Researcher will take parts from the initial identification all the way through research, tagging, documenting, and picturing before handing off the information to the Listing Team, and then organizing the parts into the hangar.
Don’t worry. This is something we will teach the right candidate.
We need two people who are looking for a long-term opportunity to grow with an outstanding, family-owned, local company that is disrupting an international industry.

There are numerous ways the right candidate for this open Researcher role could grow into a higher level of responsibility over time as BAS is growing rapidly.
We will teach the right candidate how to use our resources and processes to be successful in this role. We do not expect you to know anything about airplanes, but a genuine interest in aviation can be helpful. The ability to learn the process and repeat it quickly and accurately throughout the workday is critical.

- Spending long periods of time doing research, performing repetitive tasks, studying parts manuals, and identifying parts of a diagram are tasks that you will execute daily.
- Having an understanding of e-commerce and online listings, eBay listings, etc., is nice to have.
Interacting with the Sales, Mechanic, and Listing Teams, keeping workspaces clean and organized, moving parts (sometimes large quantities) and organizing parts in the warehouse, communicating via MS Teams, email, chat, text, etc., and helping the BAS team with a wide range of needs to keep the sales flowing are also responsibilities of this role.
