Things To Know
Carrier Transit Times
Delivery dates, transit times, and service guarantees are determined solely by the carrier. BAS does not guarantee delivery by a specific date or time and is not liable for carrier delays once a shipment leaves our facility. Any guarantees, claims, or refunds related to transit performance are governed exclusively by the carrier’s published terms. BAS does not issue shipping refunds for carrier delays.

Estes transit times are estimates unless a separate guaranteed service is purchased directly through the carrier.
Shipping Insurance
For items valued over $2,000, shipping insurance is added at 2% of the declared value (example: a $5,000 item includes $100 in insurance). We strongly recommend insuring all shipments.
BAS is not responsible for damage that occurs in transit and does not issue refunds for transit damage, lost packages, or transit delays. Insurance coverage allows us to pursue recovery with the carrier if a loss or damage occurs during shipment.

We can ship aviation parts, small and large, to nearly any destination on Earth!
We ship daily using three primary methods:
UPS and USPS
Roughly two-thirds of our inventory ships via standard parcel carriers. Rates and transit options are shown instantly at checkout.
Estes Express Freight
Most larger and heavier items ship via LTL freight. The vast majority of those shipments can also be purchased directly through the website with freight pricing calculated at checkout.
Coordinated Freight or Hot-Shot
A small percentage of oversized or uniquely shaped items require manual coordination, dedicated drivers, or containerized transport. These are the exception, not the rule.
Out of hundreds of thousands of unique items in our inventory, only a small fraction require human intervention to generate shipping pricing. Ordering online is the fastest method to get your airplane parts on the way.
Aviation Shipping Expertise
Shipping airplane parts is more complicated than it sounds, but we are really good at it - and our website is designed for it.
Shipping aircraft components requires experience. Every order is packed intelligently and securely. When a standard box will not work, we build a packaging solution specific to the part using custom foam, crates, pallets, and other specialized materials.
Whether the shipment moves parcel or freight, we apply the same care and precision.

When Manual Coordination is Required
Very large components such as fuselages, wings, large assemblies, or containerized exports may require direct coordination. While tens of thousands of the freight items in our inventory can be purchased directly through the website with shipping available at checkout...others require old-fashioned human effort to handle the shipment properly. We move freight daily, and our team is ready to assist when needed.
If a quote is needed, we must have a complete delivery address. A city, state, or country alone is not sufficient to generate accurate freight pricing.
Packaging fees will apply for items that require crating or palleting. Prices will vary.

Shipping with Your Carrier Account
Shipping on your account is no problem. We do have to process this order manually. We can take your payment over the phone or prepare and email a checkout link with a $0 shipping charge.
This allows us to manually insert your account into the carrier details when we prepare your package. Our systems will not automatically generate any order with $0 shipping; it always requires manual order creation on our part.
This is, really, no big deal. We do this daily for customers around the world.

97% of the time, we ship the same day you order
Most of the time, if you order during business hours, we will ship your package the same day. Of course, large items that require custom crates or hot-shot drivers can take longer to get out the door. International Shipping
Welcome, International Buyers.
International orders are a normal part of our daily operation. On any given day in 2025, our outbound orders were headed to an average of 7 countries outside the United States. Customers in Europe, Africa, South America, and Asia receive airplane parts from BAS Part Sales daily. Over the course of 2025, we shipped to customers in more than 100 countries worldwide.
Our website is built to support global buyers. For the vast majority of our inventory, you can enter your full delivery address at checkout and see real-time international shipping options and pricing before you pay. You dont need anything special to order from us and ship internationally. No RFQs. No waiting for a quote. No guesswork. The rate you see at checkout is clear and transparent.

All duties, taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, and import charges are the buyer's responsibility. We recommend contacting your local Customs office with any questions regarding these charges and typical clearance timelines. We do not undervalue merchandise or mark shipments as gifts. U.S. and international regulations prohibit this practice, and we fully comply with all export and customs laws.
Expedited Shipping
If you need overnight delivery, you must order by 1:30 pm Mountain Standard Time to ensure we can get your package out the door on time. If you order after 1:30 pm MST, we can not guarantee next-day delivery. Call 970-313-4823 to speak with an expert before 1:30 pm Mountain Standard Time to be fully informed on shipping costs and expected delivery times. Keep in mind that no carrier fully guarantees delivery times anymore (some charge an additional fee for this), but we will always do our best to get it packaged right and out the door quickly for you.
When you order through the website, you will usually have expedited shipping options, such as overnight and 2-day air, available at checkout, and we can generally get your package shipped the same day you order as long as that order is placed before 2:30 pm Mountain Standard Time. Unless otherwise stated, shipments are not guaranteed to go out the same business day if placed after 2:30 pm Mountain Standard Time. For overnight delivery, you must place the order before 1:30 pm MST!
If you need overnight, early overnight, or 2-day air shipping but don't see those options at checkout, give us a call at 970-313-4823. With hundreds of thousands of items listed online, some parts are too large or too heavy to automatically qualify for expedited shipping. In those cases, we’ll manually assist you to ensure your order ships as quickly as possible. Calling us is the fastest way to get this handled if your desired shipping speed is not available at checkout.
Freight items may take longer than a same-business-day turnaround time, but we can typically ship freight the same day if ordered before noon Mountain Standard Time.
Some items need a little extra TLC!
We utilize a custom foam machine that allows us to deliver even the most fragile items to destinations around the world. Now, not everything gets the foam treatment, but those expensive, fragile, easy-to-break items need extra protection from the rigors of global travel.
Jorge can create a customer foam box in mere minutes. This allows the BAS Shipping Team to quickly package your items with a heightened level of security and still get your parts shipped the same business day. We will go to any reasonable length to ensure your items arrive safely. The BAS Shipping team will build custom boxes, crates, pallets, and more. We will also palletize large and bulky items when needed.
