New In The Aircraft Salvage Hangar - April 25th, 2023

Posted by BAS | Aircraft Salvage Experts on Apr 25th 2023

We’re switching it up in the shop this week as our team of mechanics embarks on disassembling aircraft, inclusive of a helicopter and two really nice airplanes. But first, they take the time to clean the hangar with a healthy scrub of the shop floor.

This week we're dismantling a Robinson R44 Raven II helicopter that did some somersaults (it wanted to be a gymnast), a Piper PA-46-350P Mirage that had a beef with an airport sign, and a Beech 95-C55 Baron with a high-class and very clean interior that hydroplaned off the runway. All of these units came to us with high-end avionics that will be available for sale as soon as possible.

If you have a need for any parts from these aircraft, get in touch with our team at 970-313-4823 or email Sales@Baspartsales.Com.

Robinson R44 Raven II

This Robinson R44 II fell victim to a teaching moment when a student and instructor moved to a helicopter practice pad. The helicopter began to lift off the ground, while it tilted toward its tail.

Both the instructor and the student’s attempts at returning the aircraft to balance failed and the helicopter began to yaw and ultimately rolled over. This aircraft is now in our shop ready to be disassembled for used airplane part sales.

Robinson R44 helicopters have four seats and have been in production since 1992. This aircraft is a popular choice for private use but is also a popular choice for law enforcement agencies.

You’ll want to get into contact with our sales team as soon as possible to snag these parts:

  • Garmin GMA 350 Audio Panel
  • Lycoming IO-540-AE1A5 Engine
  • R44 Seats
  • LED Beacon
  • LED Tail Beacon

Piper PA-46-350P Mirage

Our mechanics are ready to disassemble this Piper aircraft for used airplane parts.

This Piper PA-46-350P Mirage experienced a gear up landing close to a runaway and landed in a nearby field. This aircraft impacted an airport sign on its way down and caught on fire upon impact.

Piper’s PA-46-350P is an updated model of the Piper PA-46. This model has both the Malibu and Matrix variations, also known as the M-class.

Just a few notes below of what this aircraft has to offer. If you see something you want now, make sure to reach out to our sales team ASAP!

  • Lycoming IO-540-AE2A
  • Garmin GTN 750
  • Nose Gear
  • Main Gear Right Hand and Left Hand
  • Main Gear Actuators
  • Upper Cowling
  • Rudder
  • Cabin Doors
  • Interior is clean!

Beech 95-C55 Baron

Although this aircraft is made by Beech, it was not made to land on water. This Beech 95-C55  ready to be disassembled by our mechanics hydroplaned and ran out of runway. The good news is, there was no notable damage to the avionics, the control cables, or surfaces.

The Beech 95-C55 is powered by two 285-hp Continental IO-520-C piston engines. This aircraft could accommodate more luggage than previous models of the Beech 95 due to its extended nose length.

If any of these used airplane parts listed below are of interest to you, get in touch with our sales team ASAP!

  • Garmin GTN 750
  • (X2) IO-520-CB Engines
  • Garmin GTX 345
