New In The Aircraft Salvage Hangar - January 17, 2023

Posted by BAS | Aircraft Salvage Experts on Jan 17th 2023

This week we are starting to see some aircraft come from the devastating hurricanes that have hit the southeastern U.S. over the last year. Some of these units look like they've been through a hurricane and some of them survived in better shape.

As usual, the BAS team of aviation mechanics is already hard at work disassembling these aircraft so if you see something you need, get in touch quickly. You can always call our team at  970-313-4823 or email sales@baspartsales.com.

Nearly every part in our inventory comes with our industry leading 90-day money back guarantee; and thousands of parts come with free 2-day shipping. So let us know how we can help you get back in the air!

Piper PA-32RT-300 Lance II

This Piper model was updated in 1978 with the "T" designation as they moved the horizontal stabilizer to the top of the vertical. This model also became known as the Lance II (instead of the Cherokee Lance). This aircraft seats 6 and comes with a high-performance Lycoming engine with a max speed of 157 kn (181 mph).

Cessna 182S Skylane

Now this poor guy didn't fair as well in the hurricane as it's buddy above...but we will still get a very large number of high quality salvaged and used airplane parts from it.

It has a Lycoming IO-540-AB1A5 airplane engine with 1,279 hours since new and a prop strike. This engine is a HOT item and will not sit in our inventory more than a few days. Get in touch ASAP if you are interested in this airplane engine - 970-313-4823.

The Cessna 182 with the "S" designation is the first year the Lycoming engine came to market with fuel injection, instead of the standard carburetor.

Outside of the obvious damage from the hurricane, this 1998 model Cessna Skylane is practically brand new. The bulk of the damage was to the roof of the cabin so the removal process makes this crashed airplane look rough! But outside of that roof, this airplane is in pretty good condition.

It has a handful of high quality Rochester indicators that are low time and quite nice. The seats and most of the interior are in great shape in this Skylane. We will get lots of good airframe parts and components from this Cessna too. This particular airplane was well kept prior to the hurricane damage.

We do have the logbooks and bill of sale for this aircraft.
