New In The Aircraft Salvage Hangar - January 29, 2024
Posted by Clinton McJenkin on Jan 29th 2024
You might have seen the Piper PA-28-181 units, all seven of them, that we brought into the disassembly hangar early in January. If not, click here and read up on this amazing inventory that we acquired from a weird weather event in Arizona. That Piper Archer inventory has kept us really busy in January...but the show must go on.
The mechanic team is going full-throttle to on the Archers and a new batch of aircraft in the disassembly hangar - a Piper PA-34-200T Seneca II and a Beechcraft Bonanza A36. We recommend getting in touch quickly if you need parts from these two aircraft.
Beechcraft Bonanza A36
This 1980 Beech Bonanza is stacked with great equipment that will not sit on our shelves very long. We expect to get a very long list of Beech parts and components, plus some high-demand avionics, from this aircraft. And those parts and components will be available in the store very soon. If you see something you need, get in touch quickly.
The Beechcraft Bonanza is considered a general aviation high-performance aircraft. Read about what makes an airplane "high-performance" in my recent article HERE. The Bonanza was first manufactured in 1947, and the Beechcraft corporation is still producing the Bonanza today. Beech has sold more than 17,000 Bonanza units. This makes the Beechcraft Bonanza the longest continuously manufactured aircraft in history.
The A36 Bonanza went into production in 1968 and is the current variant in production today. The A36 is an extended, straight-tail variant of the original design. The 36 Bonanza gave the airplane a 10-inch extension to the fuselage, four windows, double doors on the starboard side with seating for six, and a 285 hp power plant in the Continental IO-520-B engine. The A36 variant received various interior improvements with a more delux interior and improved instrument panel and controls. It also improved the fuel system and increased the takeoff weight.
We expect to a great list of parts from this airplane...

• Garmin GMA 340 Audio Panel
• Garmin SL 30
• P-1000 Tachometer
• Garmin GI-106

• And more
Piper PA-34-200T Seneca II
Dave and The Mechanics are hard at work on this Piper Seneca II. It was delivered to us with the seven Archer units but took a back seat while the team went to work on the PA-28s. They are now in the disassembly process on the Seneca and we are starting to sell some parts and components as they become available. This particular Piper Seneca II has an outstanding interior that will be available very soon.
The Piper Seneca was first produced in 1971 and has been in and out of production since. It was originally developed as a twin-engine version of the popular Piper Cherokee Six. Interestingly, the original Seneca prototype, the PA-32-3M, was flown as a three-engined design as it was built with twin engines mounted to the wings and retained the nose engine from the Cherokee Six design. Somewhere along the way, Piper decided to drop the nose engine and move forward with a more standard twin-engine design.
The Seneca was designed with counter-rotating engines, which eliminated some critical limitations and made the aircraft more controllable. The Seneca II variant gained several control surface improvements that made the airplane handle much better. It also gained turbocharged six-cylinder Continental engines. Finally, the Seneca II model was given the ability to arrange "club seating" that offers more legroom for passengers in the cabin. 2,588 Seneca II's were built.
We do expect this Seneca to deliver a very long list of in-demand, and highly-usable parts and components, such as...
• Garmin G500 TXi Touchscreen FD
• Garmin GTX 345 WAAS
• JPI EDM 960
• Garmin GI 275
• Continental TSIO-360-EB1
• Continental LTSIO-360-EB1
• Seats & Interior
• Rosen Visors
• Control Wheels
• Stabilator
• Rudder & Vertical
• Spinner Domes
• Baggage Door
• And more
