Cessna 182Q Skylane
Cessna’s 182 Skylane was introduced in 1956 as a tricycle gear variant of the Cessna 180 Skywagon. It is now one of the most popular general aviation aircraft models.
By 1957 the “omni-vision” window and landing gear changes were incorporated into modernized editions of the aircraft. Production paused in 1985, yet returned in 1996, when the revamped Cessna 182 Skylane included new seating arrangements and a different engine. Cessna’s 182Q Skylane seats four individuals and has a fixed light landing gear, apart from the models before its release, it has a 24-V electrical system and a wet-wing fuel tank.
The aircraft that we currently have in our shop battled intense winds on takeoff and exited the runway, so its underside got the brunt of the impact.
Don’t miss out on these parts from the Skylane we currently have in our shop:
• (X2) Aspen Avionics EFD1000
• Lynx NGT-9000 Transponder
• Garmin GMA 340 Audio Panel
• Pilot, Co-Pilot, & Rear Seat
• LH Wing
• Pilot & Co-Pilot Control Wheels
Cessna 172K Skyhawk
Cessna’s 172K Skyhawk has been produced than any other aircraft. With the help of its popularity and longevity, it is regarded as history’s most successful aircraft.
Beginning in December of 1958 and ending in February of 1959, Robert Timm and John Cool made history with a used Cessna 172. The two pilots set the world record for refueled flight endurance.
The K model of the 172 had an innovated tailfin cap along with reshaped and larger rear windows.
The 172K Skyhawk in our shop has its windshield and avionics notably intact, but we will update our parts catalogue as we disassemble this aircraft.
Cessna 177 Cardinal
Being disassembled in our shop is this Cessna 177 Cardinal that challenged power lines and terrain and suffered substantial damage as a result.
This model of aircraft has been a notable choice for challenge as former U.S. Vice President Alben Barkely’s grandson, Alben Truitt, opted to hijack the aircraft for a ride from Key West, Florida to Cuba. He was sentenced to two simultaneous 20-year sentences for aircraft piracy and kidnapping.
Cessna’s 177 Cardinal was intended to be an innovative replacement for the Cessna 172 Jayhawk. Produced from 1968 to 1978, this aircraft left out the lift struts that the previous model had and is the only high-wing single-engine aircraft to have been in production by Cessna.
A more powerful version of this aircraft was introduced in 1969 with the Cessna 177A, with two additional updated models following.
Keep an eye on our listed inventory to see what parts you can secure from this aircraft.
