This week the shop is PACKED with five aircraft all going through the disassembly process at once. We are ramping up our year-end effort to clean up the ramp and make room for a ton of aircraft we have bought around the country.
Two Robinson helicopters, a Cessna 310K, a Piper Cherokee Six, and an Aeronca round out this weeks fantastic inventory of aircraft salvage. The list of Garmin avionics from these units is long. As is the list of high-quality airplane and helicopter parts that we will have in our store very soon.
As usual, the high-demand parts are already being sold so if you are in need of something, get in touch ASAP and we will get it on the way,
Robinson R22 Beta II
The Robinson R22 Beta II is another great aircraft our mechanic team is currently disassembling. The R22 was the first production version of the Robinson helicopters and received its FAA certification in 1979. The R22 Beta II model was equipped with a more powerful engine, utilizing a Lycoming O-320-J2A model. The R22 Beta II was also produced as a police model equipped with a loudspeaker and searchlight, known as the R22 Beta II Police.
This particular R22 was damaged when and student pilot was hit by a gust of wind and lost control, the helicopter made a hard landing and rolled to its right side. But don’t worry! No one was injured.
This Robinson R22 Beta II will yield a long list of great helicopter parts. Some of the highlights are a Garmin GNS 430 and GTX 335. We will be posting these and many more great used helicopter parts in the store soon.
Robinson R44 Raven II
The Robinson R44 Raven II is the second of two Robinson helicopters we are currently working on in the disassembly hangar.
Did you know the R44 has been the best-selling general aviation helicopter every year since 1999? It is also one of the most produced general aviation aircraft of the 21st century, with nearly 6,000 deliveries between 2001 and 2020. The Robinson R44 was first produced in 1993 as the R44 Astro. The Raven model was introduced in 2000 and brought hydraulic-assisted controls and adjustable pedals to the market. In 2002 the Raven II was introduced with a more powerful fuel-injected engine and wider blades.
This particular Robinson R44 was involved in a hangar fire but is, overall, in great condition. The parts from this R44 II will be available very soon on our website. If you have any questions or particular needs, we are ready to assist you.
Aeronca 7AC Champion
We are excited to have an Aeronca 7A in the hangar, and our mechanics are currently working hard disassembling it. This is an aircraft we don’t see very often in the disassembly hangar.
The Aeronca 7A was developed in the mid-1940s as a post-World War II jab at their main competitor, known as the Piper Cub. Designed mainly for flight training, it picked up the nickname “Champ” or “AirKnocker” over the years. The Aeronca Model 7 Champion was one of the most popular light plane models produced in the world, with one of the longest production records in its class. After being picked up by several manufacturers over the decades, the light-sport aircraft model was discontinued in mid-2019.
The 7AC model that we have in the disassembly hangar was introduced in 1945 and was by far the most popular version of this airplane. Over 7,000 units were produced from 1945 to 1948, outnumbering every other variant that was built.
Parts from the Aeronca 7AC will be available on our website soon Contact our sales team at 970-313-4823 if you need immediate help.
Piper PA-32-260 Cherokee Six
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to get the high-quality used parts you need from the popular Piper PA-32-260 Cherokee Six.
This Piper model is used around the world for private transportation, air taxi services, bush support, and medevac flights. The Piper PA-32 Cherokee Six was built from 1965 to 2007. The PA-32-260 was the first production model to be certified and was later replaced with the PA-32-300 in 1979. One of the key features of the Cherokee Six is the baggage compartment between the engine and the cockpit, and the large double doors that allow for easy loading in the rear of the fuselage.
If you are in the market for great used parts for this plane, we will have plenty to offer and would be happy to assist you with your needs.
Cessna 310K
Our mechanics are hard at work disassembling this Cessna 310K. We will recover a great deal of high-value and fast-moving airplane parts from this 310.
The first Cessna 310 was produced in 1954. In the 1960’s the Cessna 310 was used by the U.S. Air Force as a light utility aircraft and saw action as support aircraft during the Vietnam War. The twin-engine Cessna 301K variant was first manufactured in 1966 and was the first model offered by Cessna with optional 3-blade propellers. The 3-blade prop makes for a smoother and quieter flight and makes for a smaller diameter versus the 2-blade propeller.
This airplane has some outstanding Garmin avionics, including a GTX-345, GMA50, G5, and G1, just for starters. Get in touch with the sales team for more details and to see what is still available.
If you are looking for quality parts for your Cessna 310K, they will be available on our website soon, or feel free to give us a call at 970-313-4823 and our team will get to work.
