Beechcraft Premier Parts | Model 390 Disassembly at BAS

A 2003 Raytheon Model 390 / Beechcraft Premier is entering the BAS turbine hangar with a parts package that reaches well beyond the cockpit. Expected recovery includes two Williams FJ44-2A engines, Rockwell Collins avionics, landing gear components, flight surfaces, and a single-piece wing assembly. Six-place cabin seating, cockpit seats, cabinetry, and interior panels round out the list. Here is a closer look at the airplane and the components planned for recovery.

Light Jet. Not Light on Ideas.
The Beechcraft Premier took aim at the CitationJet market with a carbon-fiber/epoxy honeycomb fuselage. This was a different approach to the light business jet, not another familiar shape with a new name.

Now a 2003 Raytheon Model 390 / Beechcraft Premier is in the BAS turbine hangar for disassembly, and there is plenty here to interest more than one department at the maintenance shop.

The Williams engines and Rockwell Collins equipment are the obvious headliners. But the expected recovery also reaches into landing gear, brakes, flight surfaces, cabin furnishings, and a single-piece wing assembly. For anyone looking for Beechcraft Premier parts, this is a disassembly worth following from more than one angle.

The engines get your attention. The rest of the airplane gives you a reason to keep reading.

NEW ARRIVAL IN THE BAS TURBINE HANGAR
Beechcraft Premier 1a In BAS Disassembly:
How the Premier Earned Its Name
Premier development began in 1994. The prototype first flew on December 22, 1998, followed by FAA certification on March 23, 2001. The original Premier I entered service that year.

The later Premier IA brought improvements to the brakes, avionics, and cabin, with the upgraded version arriving in 2006. Both the Premier I and IA could be certified for single-pilot operation.

Production of the Premier family ran from 2001 through 2012, with 292 aircraft built. That gives this disassembly a specific focus: recovering components for a distinct aircraft family, not simply adding another assortment of jet parts to the shelf.
This Premier Brought More Than the Headliners
This aircraft’s equipment package includes two Williams FJ44-2A engines, a Rockwell Collins avionics suite, Honeywell EGPWS equipment, and three Rockwell adaptive flight displays. The intake notes identify minor delamination on the displays, a detail that belongs with the equipment rather than disappearing into the fine print.

The recovery list also includes the Shadin ADS-B adapter, a Securaplane unit, and Rosemount pitot tubes. Those smaller components deserve their place alongside the larger equipment. A parts search does not always begin with an engine. Sometimes it begins with one very specific number.

Below the airframe, the landing gear package includes struts, actuators, associated equipment, and BFGoodrich wheels and brakes. Flight surfaces and the single-piece wing assembly extend the scope into larger airframe components.

Then there is the interior. Six cabin seats, pilot and copilot seats, a toilet, a cabinet, panels, carpet, headliner, and Rosen sunvisors are all on the expected recovery list. The cabin is not an afterthought here, and neither are the pieces surrounding the seats.

A Parts List With More Than One Audience
An engine requirement, a cockpit component search, and an interior project can bring three different buyers to the same airplane. This Premier has expected recovery across all three areas, plus landing gear and substantial airframe components.

That breadth is the value of the project. BAS is not treating the airplane as two engines with a cabin attached. The smaller equipment, the furnishings, and the larger assemblies each deserve a place in the recovery plan.

As components move through disassembly and cataloging, check the individual listings for the actual item details. Confirm part numbers and applicability against your aircraft’s documentation, and contact the BAS team about specific components on the recovery list.

The Cabin Has Its Own Shopping List
Not every Premier parts search starts in the engine bay. For a shop working through an interior project, the priority might be a pilot seat, a cabinet, or one particular panel. This aircraft’s expected recovery includes six-place cabin seating, pilot and copilot seats, a toilet, a single cabinet, interior panels, carpet, headliner, and Rosen sunvisors. There is a substantial interior story here without touching the instrument panel.

A cabin project does not always call for an entire cabin. Individual furnishings and interior pieces deserve attention in their own right, especially when the requirement is specific. As recovery progresses, buyers can ask about those individual components rather than overlooking the interior because engines and avionics lead the conversation. Configuration, part identification, and each item’s listed condition will guide whether it belongs on a particular project’s shortlist.

Still Taking Care of Business
This Premier’s next assignment is less about moving passengers and more about supporting the shops that keep aircraft moving. The recovery opportunity reaches from major assemblies to the cabin details that are easy to overlook until one lands on your parts list. A wing assembly and a sunvisor may live at opposite ends of the conversation, but the right component matters either way.

Looking for something from this Beechcraft Premier / Raytheon Model 390? Contact BAS Part Sales with your part number and aircraft details to ask about recovery status, availability, and supporting documentation. Follow the BAS store as individual components are listed, with each item’s details guiding the next step.

The goal is not simply to take a Premier apart. It is to make this airplane useful to the people keeping others together.
