BAS Minnesota: The Wentworth Aircraft Parts Legacy Continues
Same people. Same location. More than 40 years of aviation experience. Now backed by BAS Part Sales.

If you've purchased airplane parts from Wentworth Aircraft over the years, the people and inventory you know are now part of BAS Minnesota.
In September 2026, BAS Part Sales acquired the aircraft parts inventory and related business assets of the Wentworth parts operation in Crystal, Minnesota. Members of Steve Wentworth's longtime team joined BAS and continue working from the same Crystal Airport facility.
The name on the operation has changed. The experience, relationships, and commitment to helping customers keep their airplanes flying have not. And now, there's a lot more behind them.

After more than four decades in the aircraft parts business, Steve Wentworth made the decision to retire from that part of his career. BAS Part Sales purchased the Wentworth aircraft parts inventory and related parts-business assets, and welcomed members of the experienced Wentworth team into our organization.
An Inventory and Assets Purchase, Not a Company Acquisition
BAS did not acquire Wentworth Aircraft as a company. Steve retained the Wentworth name and continues his involvement in aviation, including his independent aircraft recovery business.
The aircraft parts operation Steve spent more than 40 years building now continues as BAS Minnesota, our third major location alongside BAS Colorado and BAS Kansas City.
For longtime Wentworth customers, the important part is simple: the people are still here, the inventory is still here, and we're open for business.
Read the Official AnnouncementFour Decades. More Than 7,100 Airplanes. One Remarkable Legacy.
Steve Wentworth built one of the most recognizable names in the used aircraft parts industry. What started in 1985 with an airplane purchased to obtain an engine grew into a career that included acquiring more than 7,100 aircraft. Along the way, Steve developed an extraordinary inventory of general aviation parts, built relationships across the industry, and assembled a team whose experience is measured in decades.

Wentworth became particularly well known for aircraft engines, avionics, instruments, airframe components, and hard-to-find parts supporting general aviation, experimental aircraft, and homebuilt projects. But the inventory is only part of the story.
Some of Steve's employees worked alongside him for more than 30 years. They know the airplanes, the parts, the customers, and the business. That kind of experience cannot simply be purchased or recreated.
We have enormous respect for what Steve and his team built. Our responsibility is to preserve that knowledge, support the people who earned it, and build something even stronger around them.

For the customers who have trusted Wentworth Aircraft for years, familiar faces and voices are still here.
Kevin, Jason, and the rest of the BAS Minnesota team continue helping customers from the same Crystal Airport location. The phone number and established email addresses remain active, and the team is available to assist with aircraft parts identification, availability, condition questions, and orders.
The difference is that they're now part of a much larger aviation parts organization, with additional inventory resources, e-commerce technology, research capabilities, shipping infrastructure, and operational support.
The people who know your airplanes now have even more resources behind them.
Contact BAS MinnesotaBringing the Wentworth Inventory Online
The former Wentworth inventory represents decades of accumulated aircraft parts, including many components that can be difficult to find through traditional aviation supply channels.
We're bringing that inventory into the BAS Part Sales catalog, one part at a time. That means researching and identifying components, documenting condition and available traceability, photographing the actual items, establishing prices, and publishing searchable product listings at BASPartSales.com.
Our goal is to make more of this extensive inventory available for customers to search, evaluate, and purchase directly online, with real photos, published prices, and straightforward checkout.
Not Every Wentworth Part Is Online Yet
Integrating more than 40 years of accumulated inventory takes time. If you're looking for something that hasn't appeared on our website, contact the Minnesota team. They still know the inventory and can help you find what you need.
